Topic/Content:
The conference offers a platform for interdisciplinary exchange on STIs, their prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, as well as infectious and tropical diseases and their impact on sexual health. The focus is on current scientific findings, clinical updates, prevention strategies, and discussions about new challenges in research, care, and public health issues.

Continuing Education in Sexual Medicine
Module I - Fundamentals of Sexual Medicine [WB 4]; Curricular Continuing Education “Sexual Health and Sexually Transmitted Infections” [CF 9]
Topic/Content:
The objective of Module I of the continuing education program is to provide knowledge about HIV and other STIs (including epidemiology, modes of transmission, prevention, treatment, diagnostics), as well as on sexual health (including what sexual health entails, definitions of sexuality, sexual rights, and sexual behavior) and communication about sexuality (including doctor-patient conversations, communication with adolescents, and discussing sexuality). The module’s content is conveyed using various methods (presentations, case studies, films, exercises). The German STI Society (DSTIG) and the Federal Center for Health Education (BZgA) are the lead organizations involved.
